You will have seen these to flowers before…when they had a bit more life about them.  Today, suitably squashed and bearing a little bit of mould they are by scanned “photo” of the day.

Using a shallow depth of I took this shot this evening using my macro lens, that I haven’t used in ages (well since I got my first L glass icon smile 50/365   Peach Rose on Black ).  The light was provided by a Speedlite 580 with a softbox over the front.

Cyanotype was (is?) a early 20th century photographic process that involved getting messy with chemicals - luckily we have Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to do it for us most of the time.

Once again, scanned image of a rose flattened out on my flat bed scanner.

Continuing to make up for not having done anything on Saturday and Sunday, here is a freshly brewed photograph from today.  Naturally lit jar full of pink roses with an intentional shallow depth of field.

Naturally lit, this shot was purposefully over exposed. The original intention was to convert it in to black in white, however on looking at it it seemed better with a bit of a cross processing look.
